  1. Felix, your books are definitely on my reading list, now more than ever. I’ll let you know if I have any questions or complaints, but I have a feeling they are top notch!

Felix, who at Spectra do I have to hound to get a review copy of your second book? It’s just over three weeks until release day and while I’ll buy it if there are no review copies available, I was hoping to have it sooner rather than later (after all, end of year is my best time for reading books these days). Plus I want to know if there are any churchtanks appearing in GotC…

Awful, yes. Awfully good, you mean? Loved Thunderer and really looking for the Gears.

Thanks for these… insights of yours. They’ve been… educational.

And you’re welcome. Myself, I’m more a minesweeper-kinda guy. Beats solitaire hands down.

  4. Nice meeting you, Felix (or, is one required to mute any electronic acquaintances with quotation marks? What, in the end, is the correct etiquette? I have no idea.) But you seem like a smart enough fellow, so I may be required to read one or both of your books. Hell, it’s winter in Minnesota and what else am I supposed to do with my time? Read dubious books from possibly incendiary authors – it’s worked for my people for generations.

    Cheers!

Kelly, there is something else you could do with your time…you could go help count the ballots ;)

  6. Jeff VanderMeer says:

    Hey–thanks, Felix.

Next, week, Tempest Bradford. I return on the 14th or 15th.

    Cheers,

    Jeff

The only awful thing about Mr. Gilman’s first novel is that it did not include random past/future/now versions of hard-eyed, cold-hearted, revenge-for-exploitation gangs of children in it. I was really holding out for Jack to run into a version of himself in the Rose that served the Lock. Hoepfully his new novel will resolve this issue for me. MORE VILE CHILDREN FIENDS IN MY LITERATURE!

And even if it doesn’t, I suppose I am actually obligated to forgive any man who uses a quote from me to link to a Flex Mentallo panel. Pretty sure that jumps me all the way to the head of the class in meta-fictional studies and cogitations.
