Minister is indeed a person with great taste in and knowledge about music. When he was GOH at Diversicon I did a panel discussion with him, it was just the two of us, based on the use of musical references in "The Coyote Kings of the Space-Age Bachelor Pad". I'd play an excerpt from one of the songs mentioned in the book, and Minister would talk about how the song related to the characters and why it was included in the narrative. It was a lot of fun, and to this day sticks in my mind as one of the most enjoyable panels I've ever been on with a writer.
