The return of the flips (thanks, Ann!)
(Thanks, Tessa! Now our living room is a stand-off between spider and penguin.)

That wave seems to get everywhere
Riley seems unperturbed by the massive spider, at one point disregarding its presence entirely. I’m not sure I could say the same. You’ve got yourself a brave boy there.
Awesome flip-flops and awesome inflatable spider. And there’s Totoro again!
My money’s on the penguin.
Shelob is in for it…
OK. He’s blowing up a spider. Jesus. The first thing I thought was: Jeff’s insane! Is he going to let his grandson LAUNCH THAT ROCKET IN THE HOUSE?
If you have no idea what I’m talking about, maybe never mind. But damn it if that pump didn’t look like one of those launch pads for a model rocket — in the first picture.
Right. Ignore me, man.
PS: I rightfully can’t touch the heels thing. I mean, I wore eyeliner and long black skirts in high school. Heh. Also, my daughter regularly wears my knee-high Docs and pretends to be a Sith Lord.
So the feds didn’t swipe one shoe? Or did Ann pick up a new pair for you?
Riley loves the spider. When I jokingly flourished it at him, he started giggling madly.
He’s also super strong. That bicycle pump has a lot of pressure to it when you bear down.
I know the rockets of which you speak.
Those are new flips, James. Ann picked them up for me.
Riley loves high heels. Don’t know what to tell you. I think the toes fit him better or something. He likes the sound, too.
Jeff
He likes the high heels because they make that satisfying clacking noise when you walk in them. And they’re light and easy for him to wear, unlike my hiking boots or ANY of Jeff’s humongous Sasquatch shoes.
