		<description>I&#039;m almost done with the first (well, third) section and put it aside a couple months ago, planning to return to it when the weather was colder. &lt;i&gt;Lanark&lt;/i&gt; makes me very much want to visit Glasgow, as HPL lured me to Providence. The novel strikes me as deeply European, informed by all manner of bits of European history, Kafka, cafe culture, the Blitz, etc., and I really agree with what you said about the story being paramount while it still serving as social commentary. Looking forward to finishing it.</description>
