I’m very pleased to welcome Cherie Priest as this week’s guest blogger. Cherie Priest is the author of Four and Twenty Blackbirds, Wings to the Kingdom, and Not Flesh Nor Feathers from Tor Books, plus two titles for Subterranean Press–Dreadful Skin and Those Who Went Remain There Still (forthcoming). She has three more novels in the works, a gothic fantasy called Fathom (Tor, winter 2008) and two steampunk novels, Boneshaker (Tor, 2009) and Clementine (Subterranean, 2009).

I’m actually – and in a completely unplanned way – reading Wings to the Kingdom as I scatterbrain my way around the internet.

Is discovering a guest blogger is a book I’m reading right now creepier than the book? Only time will tell.

But will Spain the Cat make an appearance? That’s what the world is waiting to hear.

Colleen, I will totally make a point to post a kitty picture. JUST FOR YOU. If I can figure out how to log into this thing tomorrow and get myself started … :)

I am wondering if she’ll be open to suggestions about writing a story in which Bob Corker will appear as a zombie. Not that I’m from Chat-town, but I have relatives that are… Still need to read Wings to the Kingdom in the near future, come and think of it. Shall be looking forward to reading her blog entries this week, since anyone who incorporates my home state into any type of story immediately gets props for that.
