And we’re back….

Minister Faust • September 9th, 2008 @ 12:53 pm • Uncategorized

Good morning, all. I just had a fascinating conversation with Prof. Lisa Yaszek at Georgia Tech on the topic of science fiction generally and Afrofuturism specifically. I’ll post the audio later on today in my brand-new podcast called THE MINISTRY, which will be my interviews with authors and academics dealing with literature that otherwise might not fit into my long-running radio programme THE TERRORDOME: The Afrika All-World News Service on CJSR FM-88 and cjsr.com (which you can find through my blog, THE BRO-LOG.

In my interview with Lisa Yaszek, you’ll hear about George Schuylar and his novel Black Empire, Nalo Hopkinson and the new New Wave in SFF, and the connections among Will Smith, Barack Obama and Arnold Jackson from Diff’rent Strokes.

Below is a photo I believe might be Earth C’s Obama/Biden ticket from 1980, which fared well against Earth C’s Republican ticket of Reagan/Dr. Doom.
