I remember seeing Ian’s illustrations in the “Tolkien Bestary” that I got as a birthday present when I was about 7 or 8. Fantastic stuff.

I remember Miller’s work in the Tolkien book as being the best but then I’m a tad biased. He did Mordor stuff, of course. Always wanted to see him do something for Gormenghast, if he hasn’t already. He’s far closer to the grotesquery of Peake’s world than to Tolkien.
