Good Thoughts for Jay Lake

One of our good friends, Jay Lake, has been diagnosed with early-stage cancer and been blogging about it. He’s going in for surgery Friday, so feel free to go wish him the best. He’s a great guy and we’re very protective of him. Note that if you’re so moved, he’d prefer hospital donations to flowers (details on the link.).

As someone who recently beat cancer, and is still paying off the hospital bills that weren’t taken care of *after* insurance, trust me when I tell you that he’ll be able to use every penny. Also, knowing that people are rooting for you can be a big help. At least, it sure helped me when things got bad.
