“The Third Bear” a Finalist for the Shirley Jackson Award

Jeff VanderMeer • May 1st, 2008 @ 6:30 pm • News

I’m thrilled that “The Third Bear” from Clarkesworld Magazine has been named a finalist for the newly established Shirley Jackson Award in the short story category. The short story, novelette, and novella categories seem extraordinarily strong, so I’m well-pleased to have “The Third Bear” there in the mix. Congrats to all of the finalists.

Since there seems no place for comments/discussion at the award site, I’m reproducing the full ballot below. I believe the winners will be announced this summer at ReaderCon. Not absolutely sure about that.
