Picacio Interview and Dr. Black Book Offer

My interview with John Picacio, one of the nicest and hardest-working creators out there, is now running on Clarkesworld, along with a piece by Justin Howe on the relationship between gaming and fiction to which I contributed a quote. (My thoughts on the subject change daily, but in the context of the piece, I was saying gaming became a time sink that took away from fiction writing time.)

Brendan Connell has a special offer on a great Dr. Black book. I love this series and the book is something special. Hilarious and surreal and totally different. As I said in Bantam’s Spectra magazine, it’s “An odd surreal classic about the titular character in South America, encountering old Indian gods. Told in a deadpan, this short novel is often hilarious and very, very strange.”

Nice to see that article on RPGs and modern fantasists. (What a great title to have, right up there with fabulist and futurist.) Certainly I can relate to the time-sink issue.
