Some reviewers think just because he uses violence and sex he's somehow not writing high-level stuff, but he is. One of the few writers who can do 'intelligent violence', give us the guilty thrill of action scenes but use them to comment on morality and society at the same time. And he's a very nice bloke to share a pint with. Looking forward to seeing what he does to the fantasy genre this summer.
