Apparently there’s a movie out there somewhere which is a mix of the various Jaws plots, but featuring giant pissed of squid. The makers went on to make Jaws.
…there’re an awful lot of angry squid pictures in the world.
BTW – if anyone was wondering, the music was ‘The Kraken’ from Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest by Hans Zimmer. The credits at the end of the video only mentioned ‘The Kraken’. Just thought I’d mention it…

Mmm. Cephelapodaphila. This would probably be a hit with Pharyngula, home to much that is squid and sexy.

Aren’t Ligers those lion/tiger hybrids? They have some at the Canberra Zoo.
They’re not really…you know…on equal footing, size-wise, with a kraken.

No, I would not pay to see, say, a Liger versus a Kraken in WWF wrestling.

hahaha the claymation kraken from Clash of the Titans has dated so appallingly worse than any of the paintings, even the terrible ones

And here I was thinking that it was going to be a fan-made ad for China Miéville’s next book (called ‘Kraken’ according to http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/m/china-mieville/). At any rate, I love some of that artwork… some was truly creepy and awe-inspiring.
