  2. JeffVanderMeer says:

Moonrat–are you a reference to kafka, who was called something like a blue moonrat by a friend?

They’re biding their time… along with their pals the abyssal fishes such as the caulophryne polynema (click on my name to see its -not mine – picture)

Ever heard of the fearsome ‘Lusca’, Jeff?

Heck, try typing ‘globsters’ into google or check out http://www.strangemag.com.

I don’t swim in the seas no more.

  7. Chris Billett says:

Ah, damn, man… these things, giant squid, etc. There’s something not quite right about the deep sea. I know I will somehow meet my end by tentacally death! (Although it could be worse, y’know; I always said I wanted to go out kicking and screaming, like I came in…)

  8. Cheryl says:

Waaa!! It says “no longer available”. I want my cuttlefish!

Plus, in japanese, it has a great-sounding name. IKA! Don’t you just look at that thing and think IKA sounds perfect?

    Hmm, I’m kinda hungry now.

  11. Cheryl says:

OK, its back again. I’m happy now. Fabulous tentacles. (Though for sheer weirdness I still prefer the Dumbo Octopus.)
