It appears to be official now–George RR Martin and Gardner Dozois are editing a Dying Earth anthology. More info at the Fantasy Review. I’ve been invited to be in it, and here’s the rest of the line-up:

Totally cool – I’m a big ol’ fan of the original Vance stuff. I can see where you’d fit in just fine.

Thanks for the link Jeff. In preparation for this I just ordered the Jack Vance Treasury from Sub Press. It should be here within a week and I can’t wait to start reading it.
I do have two questions for you. What do you consider to be your best work? If I were to pick up some of your books what should I start with?

City of Saints & Madmen is the one everyone gravitates, too. My personal favorite is Shriek, but I think City is probably the best entry point.

Just the concept and lineup would be enough for me to automatically buy a copy. This is really shaping up to be a good year for books.
