Jeff, this is unrelated to Lost Girls, but since I don’t have an e-mail address for you and I’m a huge Alan Moore fan too, this seems as good a place as any to offer the apology I owe you. I expect you’ll recall that a couple of years ago I claimed in a blog entry that you were one of several horror/dark fantasy writers who’d said unkind things about me earlier in my career. Even more immaturely, I blew off the e-mails you sent protesting that you were largely unfamiliar with my work and had said no such thing(s). I recently came across the interview I was thinking of at the time, and was horrified to see that it was not with you, but with another, not-quite-as-well-known author who shares your first name. What can I say, other than that I smoked way too much pot in the mid-’90s? I realize a great deal of water has passed under the bridge since then, but I don’t like to think I am the kind of person who excuses myself for having made stupid mistakes simply because they happened a long time ago. I hope you’ll accept my apology, and frankly, since I made the erroneous claim publicly, I’m just as happy to make the apology that way too.

Crap. “Naughty” sites are blocked by Singapore servers, and it looks like this one’s included (although, with a domain name like sextelevision.net, I shouldn’t be surprised). Still, it would have been interesting to see.
Ironically, I’ve spied Lost Girls itself in two separate comics shops here, although it has a mighty hefty markup, being priced at S$175 (around US$115). It appears that I’ll never get to read, or watch discussion of, the damn thing.
And hey, nice to see you and Poppy making up. :)
